1. The two videos I chose to watch are "Hockney on Photography" and "Andy Warhol: Images of an Image." I chose these two videos because they seemed to interest me the most. I just picked two random videos. I have heard of Andy Warhol before, but I was never really sure on his work so I wanted to finally learn!
2. In "Hockey on Photography," I learned that photography is actually a chemical process of putting pictures onto a flat surface. It is debatable whether photography is art. I did not know this was even a question. Photography to me, has always been art. It is the eyes ability to capture an image and display it on paper. It is similar to painting.
In "Andy Warhol's" video, I learned that Andy never wanted to be an artist. He enlarged images with a projector.Images have immense power in our society. Cropped pictures to make simple images and colored them in unique ways.
3. Both videos relate to the text in that photography was discussed in the textbook and the different technological advances that have grown. The textbook also looks at Andy's work.
4. I liked to videos because they were very insightful. It was nice to learn more about Andy. In previous art classes they have mentioned his name but it was nice to actually dissect his work.
