self portraits

1. I selected these inspirational pieces because they are of artists' that I admire.
2. I chose to use pencil and paper to create my self portrait because it is simple, but still elegant. I am simple, and not over the top so I didn't want my self portrait to be anything different. After all, it is a self- portrait and is supposed to portray your personality.
3. The challenges I faced in creating this artwork was getting the shape of my head correctly. I re-did it over ten times so I think it is acceptable. The biggest challenges were drawing the facial features.
4. This piece represents me because it shows how happy I am. It was taken during summer on the way to a country concert. I love summer and the warm weather. You can see how happy it makes me.
5. I used lines throughout my entire drawing. I used them to create my hair and eyelashes. I used proportion to make sure that everything was aligned with one another.
6. I liked doing this project. I love using my creativity within  a project!
7. Overall, I think my final artwork came out ok...... I think my next step would have been to shade certain areas.
