Art Curator Project: Reflection Journal

I was at first overwhelmed with this assignment. Doing an analysis on artwork can be stressful sometimes because I am never sure if I am doing it to its full potential. But then I excited about this project because I love to be creative. Creating power points has always been a joy to me. Picking the theme was the easiest. I chose "Nature's True Beauty" because I have an interest in nature and the environment. I think that most people don't respect the true beauty of Earth. I chose specific paintings that reflect the vulnerability of the environment. Choosing the images were easy. Charles Burchfield is an inspiration to me so I used a lot of his watercolor paintings. The hardest part about this assignment was the art criticism. I tried not to judge the artworks, but it was challenging to me because I wanted to incorporate my emotion into the criticism.
